Trenton Hancock, Jason Parker Complete Graduate School of Banking

ChoiceOne Bank is pleased to announce Vice Presidents Trenton Hancock and Jason Parker recently graduated from the Graduate School of Banking Program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Both received the prestigious Certificate of Executive Leadership from the Wisconsin School of Business and Executive Development – the highest-level certificate they offer.

The Graduate School of Banking (GSB) is an industry leader in providing advanced management education for financial professionals. Hancock and Parker completed the three-year program that develops banking leaders through a curriculum of advanced management education. The GSB is widely recognized as the nation's leading and most progressive banking school, offering a comprehensive course of study that reflects the contemporary trends impacting the financial services industry and focuses on meeting the changing needs of today's bank manager.

Vice President Head of Retail Banking - Trenton Hancock

Hancock joined ChoiceOne in 2016 and has 22 years experience in the financial services industry.  Prior to ChoiceOne, Hancock was Vice President at a national bank in their Muskegon office and moved up the ranks from Manager to Assistant Vice President Retail Product Manager to Vice President Regional Manager at a regional bank in West Michigan. He began is financial career as a registered representative licensed in Securities, Life and Health Insurance with John Hancock Insurance in 2000.

A graduate of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Hancock holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Business Administration and an emphasis in Economics.  He has a Second Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and actively coaches teenage and adult students. Hancock is a member of the Muskegon Rotary Club where he volunteers with the United Way and Habitat for Humanity, and volunteers with True North in Newaygo County through ChoiceOne Bank. 

Vice President, Commercial Lender - Jason Parker

Parker has over 23 years of banking experience. He rejoined ChoiceOne in 2013 as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lender and was promoted to his current position in 2016. Prior to joining ChoiceOne Bank in 2013, Parker worked for a regional bank in Grand Rapids as Assistant Vice President, Business Banker for five years. From 2003 to 2007, Parker was an Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager at ChoiceOne Bank, and prior to that an Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager at a community bank in Lowell.

Parker holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University in Allendale. Parker is the past president and member of the Rockford Rotary Club, he is involved with the Rockford Chamber of Commerce, past board member for North Kent Connect, and current board member of the Wolverine YMCA.
