ChoiceOne Bank Welcomes Amanda Brooks, Tim Shaw, Christine Zahm

ChoiceOne Bank is pleased to welcome Vice President and Private Banker Christine Zahm to the Wealth Management Group, Coopersville Branch Manager Amanda (Mandy) Brooks and Mortgage Loan Officer Tim Shaw.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Christine, Mandy and Tim to our ChoiceOne teams,” said ChoiceOne CEO Kelly Potes. “Each of these individuals have extensive experience in their respective fields including customer service and education. Their ability to immediately engage with our clients and support our Mission to provide superior service, quality advice and show utmost respect to everyone we meet will prove invaluable as we continue to expand our footprint in Michigan.”

Christine Zahm 2
Christine Zahm, Wealth Management Vice President, Private Banker (West Market)

Christine joined ChoiceOne with extensive experience in the private banking industry. As a Private Banker in her new position, Zahm will partner with her team of wealth professionals and take a holistic approach with each client using strategies to assist individuals and families looking for unique, customized plans for their finances. She will also provide an array of exclusive lending and deposit services for clients. Zahm will work out of the Sparta office at 109 East Division and serve clients in the West Michigan Market.

Prior to joining ChoiceOne, Zahm spent over 15 years at a regional bank in their Private Banking and Customer Service divisions. She earned a degree in Business Administration and Management from Davenport University in Grand Rapids. Outside of work, Zahm is active with several volunteer opportunities including All Shores Wesleyan Church, Coopersville Area Public Schools, and the YWCA of West Central Michigan. Zahm and her husband reside in Marne with their children.

Mandy Brooks 3
Amanda (Mandy) Brooks, Coopersville Branch Manager (West Market)

Mandy joined ChoiceOne with 16 years’ experience in branch banking with the last nine years in branch management. She began her banking career as a Teller at a regional bank in Grand Rapids and progressed into her most recent position of Branch Manager. She also spent two of those years as a Loan Officer at a credit union in Muskegon. In her new position she will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Coopersville Branch Office as well as lead her team to continued success offering personal and business financial services.

A native of Grant, and a graduate of Grant High school, Brooks is active in her community as a volunteer at many festivals, social events, and parades. She resides with her family in Grant.

Tim Shaw 1
Tim Shaw, Mortgage Loan Officer (West Market)

Tim joins ChoiceOne with over 25 years’ experience working in education with the last 12 years in Forest Hills as an Elementary Principal and 13 years in Thornapple Kellogg as an Elementary Principal and High School teacher. Shaw will work out of ChoiceOne’s Rockford – Division office located at 590 East Division Street, NE.

With a strong commitment to the families in his community, Shaw successfully led a diverse school with 500 students who spoke over 40 different languages and 75 staff members. His commitment helped to build a strong, welcoming learning community where all families, students, and staff felt safe, accepted, and welcomed. Shaw was a board member of Camp Manitou-Lin in Middleville from 2009-2021. He continues to mentor students.

Shaw has his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, his Master in the Art of Teaching from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, and his Education Specialist Degree from Grand Valley State University in Allendale. Shaw and his wife reside in Grand Rapids with their family.
